Main Street Books currently has two book clubs that meet once a month at the store.

The 3rd Monday Book Club has existed in some form or another since at least 1994. We have around 18 members and discuss many different types of books. This club meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7pm. We currently provide a Zoom link for anyone who wishes to enjoy our discussion from the comforts of home.

3rd Monday's favorite book club selection of 2022 was THE ISLAND OF SEA WOMEN by Lisa See, followed closely by THE LIGHT IN HIDDEN PLACES by Sharon Cameron.

Our YA Book Club was founded last year during the pandemic. We started meeting in person in the spring of 2021. This club discusses Young Adult novels rated for ages 14 and up, and tries to stick to standalone books if we can help it. The YA Book Club meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7pm.

YA Book Club's favorite book club selection of 2022 was LOVELY WAR by Julie Berry, followed by a three-way tie between SPLINTERS OF SCARLET by Emily Bain Murphy, Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley, and HEROINE by Mindy McGinnis.

Both book clubs meet January-November. In December, we have a Holiday Party for current members of each club.

3rd Monday Book Club and YA Book Club are always happy to welcome new members! You may join any time you like by coming to a meeting, sending us an email, or chatting with the bookseller at the front counter.
